The area of the ex. Cave hill quarry pit makes up just 15% of the potential developable land at Kinley. The pit is being progressively filled until it seamlessly blends back into the surrounding land. The filling commencing in late 2017 and is anticipated to be completed around 2024 (pending construction conditions) following which it will undergo a rigorous monitoring process prior to development.
The fill is being engineered in a way that will eventually allow development to occur at the surface to deliver the uses defined by the recent rezoning which underpins the Kinley Vision. To view the latest time lapse video of the quarry filling, please click here.
